High heels…I love them. I love wearing them, I love shopping for them, I love the comments people make when I wear them! I have several pairs of heels that my friends have cute little nicknames for…..last Saturday my husband and I have to attend a function for the athletic department and I wore my 5 inch red heels…they are awesome and I love how tall I feel in them. Most people comment they have no idea how I can walk in them all day but I have found with the right shoe I  do ok. Sometimes I just need to sit periodically and then I am fine.

Several times during morning duty a student or two will remark that I look shorter if I am not wearing the heels! That always makes me smile….it is always interesting the details that students remember and comment about our appearances. And I try to parallel that fact to their writing as much as possible! If they can notice details in their everyday life they can put them in their writing!

Today I have on the brown heels…..

🙂

  1. Love your post on heels! I wish I could wear heels more than 2 inches high, but my feet don’t like it:-(

  3. Last week I read some young fellow’s advice to age gracefully, pertaining to clothes. He said lose the sneakers. Not a chance.

I used to wear high heels, but gave them up for too many reasons, the main one being comfort. I love seeing women in their heels, and I can imagine how you look after reading your post.

I just wish they had cute flat shoes–but everything seems to be geared towards heels.
    Fun post!

  4. I used to love my heels too. They really are a beautiful shoe style. I finally had to give them up…just too hard on my back. Enjoy them as long as you can. Thanks for sharing your Slice of Life.
